Midnight’s Promise Semillon
In the Hunter Valley, unwooded Semillon is a WYSIWYG wine – What You See Is What You Get!
Harvested early and bottled early without any barrel maturation any shortcoming is obvious. We waited 15 years for the Semillon block to be sufficiently mature. What a debut for our first wine made in 2013! Awarded a Gold Medal at the local show and then “rave reviews”.
The 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Semillons have followed suit – each of the classic style but showing vintage variation.
Hand picking this year’s Semillon has just finished. The fruit was pristine and we are very optimistic that 2026 will produce a great Semillon.
But we are not a one trick pony: our Chardonnay and our Shiraz are equally good.

This wine is a classic Hunter style of lemony Semillon with a generous palate leading to a crisp, dry finish. A lovely wine.

Midnights Promise Chardonnay 2022
A worthy successor to the 2021 vintage. A cooler growing season has resulted in fruit displaying more elegant characteristics. Expressions of white peach and citrus on the nose are complimented by toasty cashew notes and a depth of texture from 6 months on yeast lees in French oak hogsheads.

An elegant, medium bodied wine from mature vines. It shows red and black fruit notes on the palate supported by subtle spice from maturation in oak. A food friendly wine.

It’s always Wine O’Clock at Midnight’s Promise Estate. To celebrate this we have introduced into our portfolio, under the Wine O’Clock Series label, a range of unwooded/lightly wooded wines with emphasis on “drinkability” – wines that are suitable for drinking before meals, during meals and after meals – in fact any time that is Wine O’Clock. Available in Red, white and Rosé.
